Privacy Policy

By consenting to, and agreeing to the terms of the Privacy Policy, you also expressly consent and agree to us processing your data in the manner set out in the Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect and how we use that information. The Company takes the privacy of your personal information very seriously and will use it only in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. We will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information or a list of our customers to third parties.

1. From our "Apply Now" page we collect personal information and debit/credit card details that are key to booking your site survey. To book a site survey, you must provide your name, address, phone number and email address. In order to make payment, you must provide credit card or debit card information (Any payment taken will be to the sum of £300+VAT only (total £345) via our online payment system). Telephone, e-mail and direct mail are alternative methods of booking site surveys and communicating with The Company.

2. Any data collected by Freeflow Hydro and our Site Surveyors is protected in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998)

3. Information sharing - The information we hold is only used to assess our clients' suitability to hydro and other renewable technologies.  The information is shared between the parties representing The Company and is specifically used in connection with the site survey and the micro-hydro installation only. None of the information is shared for marketing purposes. Freeflow Hydro will only pass on names and addresses of those clients who specify that they would like information about other technologies that The Company and its representative companies do not provide.

4. If for any reason client information held by Freeflow Hydro is inaccurate, the client may contact us directly to have the information updated/removed immediately.

5. Information provided - name, address and contact details are stored on a secure database. Payment details such as credit/debit card details entered by you on our secure payments page are not stored at any time by Freeflow Hydro.  Credit/debit card payments made over the telephone will be processed using our secure online payment site using PayPal Website Payments Pro during the telephone call by one of our operatives, and these details are not kept in any form, for any period of time by Freeflow Hydro.  

6. If you send us correspondence, including emails and faxes, we retain such information in the records of your account. We retain these records in order to keep abreast of our relationship.

7. The Company is committed to handling your customer information with the highest standards of security. We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, we enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files and we authorise access to personal information only for those employees who require it to fulfil their job responsibilities.

8.  All personal information that you provide will be held confidentially within our secure database and will not be passed to third parties unless you give permission to do so or it is necessary to do so in order to provide you with the services you have booked. Where payment is processed via credit card, credit card numbers are not retained on our database.

Delivery Policy
1. Once a client has booked their site survey, a site surveyor will contact the client (within 2 weeks of their booking) to arrange a suitable date for the survey.
2. Site surveys for Highlands & Islands will be arranged in clusters to ensure that the visits are economically viable.
3. Rate of delivery for both site surveys and installations will depend on demand.

Cancellation Policy
What conditions there are on cancellations.

1. Site survey bookings can be re-arranged given at least 7-days notice.
2. If the site surveyor is not informed of a re-arrangement outwith the 7-days notice, a penalty fee of £20 may be incurred by the client.
3. Freeflow Hydro has a 7-day cancellation period from date of purchase. A small administration fee charge will be applicable for any cancellations within the 7-day period.

Terms & Conditions
A list of our terms and conditions.

1. Site surveys cost £300 +VAT and payment of this can be made securely via our website, by telephone or by post. Once we receive payment, your details will be added to our site survey database.

2. A site survey will assess the energy efficiency of your home and what suitable renewable technologies can be employed at your property. Our clients are not obligated to utilise any of the technologies we recommend.

3. After calculating the effectiveness of your site for a free micro-hydro system, we will inform you of the feasibility as soon as possible.

4. In some cases - for instance when extra long pipe runs are required, or where your site has borderline water resources, we may ask you to help with the installation in some way in order to make the installation feasible.

5. The hydro installations will be installed free of charge to the properties with suitable sites.

6. The hydro installations and all associated equipment will remain the sole property of Freeflow Hydro at all times, who reserve the right to terminate the deal at any time, giving 7 days notice in writing. By agreeing to these terms & conditions you agree not to impede, disrupt or in any other way prevent the removal of our systems from your site should we terminate our agreement.

7. Should the Freeflow Hydro project come to an end, the client will have the option to purchase the equipment and therefore own outright the micro-hydro system installed at their site.

8. In return for us installing the free micro-hydro system, and subsequent free electricity it produces, the client is aware that Freeflow Hydro till own the hydro system and Freeflow Hydro is the sole benefactor of any payments for energy generation and feed-back to the grid from the turbine.

9. Freeflow Hydro and its contractors will maintain the hydro systems free of charge and will repair systems that are suffering from normal wear & tear or flood damage.

10. Clients must not attempt to tamper with, sell, damage, and/or misuse the micro-hydro systems. The client will be liable for any replacement/repairs if they tamper with, sell, damage, and/or misuse the micro-hydro systems. If the client wishes to limit their liability for loss/theft/accidental damage to our micro-hydro turbine, they should consider adding it to their household/business insurance, for peace of mind.

11. The Company cannot guarantee the amount of generated electricity produced by each micro-hydro turbine. We will endeavour to maximise the energy-generating capacities of the client's water-source wherever possible.

12. Clients who do not have a suitable site for our free micro-hydro turbines will receive a £345 voucher towards a renewable technology to be installed by a Freeflow Hydro contractor or approved supplier/installer. The voucher must be used within 12 months.


The Company - Freeflow Hydro and associated contractors.
Site Survey - A survey of a property establishing suitability to microgeneration and energy reducing technologies.
Survey Report - A detailed report of the site survey.
Site Surveyor - A company representing Freeflow Hydro.
Contractor - A company representing Freeflow Hydro who carry out the installations of renewable technologies.
Client - A person/business who has booked a site survey and wishes to receive a free Freeflow Hydro micro-turbine; and/or a person/business who is operating a free Freeflow Hydro micro-turbine.
Micro-Hydro System - All equipment installed by Freeflow Hydro.
Voucher - A non-redeemable certificate to the value of £300+VAT to be used within 12 months of issue. 

Freeflow Hydro reserve the right to alter/change these Terms & Conditions without notice, and all other material displayed on this, and any associated website.
